How will the 40% weightage of Class
XII Board Examination along with JEE be

factored into the admission in Engineering/Science institutions?

A committee headed by Dr T Ramaswami, Secretary in the Department of Science &

Technology, has demonstrated with the help of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata that

Board% scores across various Boards can be normalized through a statistical process & converted

into percentile. The normalized percentile may be used to give 40% or above weightage in the

admission process as per institute / state Govt. policy.

Will JEE score be applicable for admission in Private Engineering Colleges or Private

/ Deemed Universities?

The private Institutions may or may not use the JEE Score.

Leading private Universities / institutions at National level like BITS (BITSAT), VIT

(VITEEE), Manipal, SRM, Amity etc. may continue with their ‘own’ entrance

examinations.

However, state-level / smaller private colleges / universities may use JEE score because of

its wider acceptance.

What will be the role of coaching institutes in preparation for JEE?

The expected number of candidates appearing for JEE 2013 is around 12 lakh – 15 lakh.

To compete for few thousand seats at premier institutions in such a fierce competition

requires student to perform well not only in Board examination (min. 40% weightage)

but also in JEE (max. 60% weightage).

JEE will have both class XI & XII syllabi and the problems will be more advanced than

the Board curriculum.

This definitely requires a support system which can mentor him to prepare efficiently and

smartly to score better in Board examination as well as in JEE.

How is ‘TA’ going to help the students in preparing for JEE?

TA has never compromised in terms of quality or commitment since its inception.

We have our system ready for incorporating the changes made in the pattern.

The entire course is structured in a manner to enable the students to grasp the contents of

syllabi (covering NCERT text and problems) in a manner by which they can perform

their best both in Board examination and JEE.

Periodic tests would be conducted based on Board patterns as well as for the JEE pattern,

so that the student is in touch constantly with both.

A thoroughly researched and structured question bank on every chapter covering Board’s

previous papers and sample papers will be given to students to enable them perform their

best in Board examinations.

The complete English syllabus will also be covered in the program..

Practicals related to Board curriculum will also be the part of our program.
